Raised on the Southern Oregon Coast, now retired on the Southern Oregon Coast. I was a hard of hearing child who grew up to be a deafened adult. I share and write about deafness, hearing loss and other things I find interesting. I am a 50 something year old woman who could be anyone's mother, grandmother or friend. I've traveled the U.S., and I've lived in Europe. I'm currently residing near the beach with Fabulous Husband and 11 year old son. ~ Joyce Edmiston

ReplyDeleteJenna, you can search for them on Youtube by typing "ASL music videos" or "captioned ASL music videos". A HUGE word of caution, however. Stay away from the "student" vidoes or ones labled as "project for our class". Many of these are created for classes by beginner signers, and sometimes have inappropriate signs, etc. Kelly Greer and Tiffany Courier. Watching ASL videos is no replacement for ASL classes, but they do help a person get an idea of ASL. I would also suggest looking up Signing Time videos by Rachel Coleman for a solid foundation for basic vocabulary. As for stucture and syntax, take a class if there is one near you.
